Through employment services, you will receive information about different kinds of employment-promoting measures that offer you support and guidance in job seeking, finding employment, developing your skills and competences and planning for the future.
Services that promote employment are produced collaboratively by various authorities, such as municipalities, Kela, the TE Office and the Kainuu Social and Health Care Joint Authority, as well as other operators such as the City of Kajaani’s partner associations.
While receiving employment-promoting services, you will be paid the same unemployment benefit as when you are an unemployed job seeker. However, you are also required to keep looking for a job and be registered as a jobseeker while receiving these services. During some of the services, you may also be entitled to increased earnings-related daily allowance or receive compensation for expenses from Kela as regards travel and maintenance costs during participation in an employment-promoting measure. You can check your personal situation by asking your employment counsellor.
In all matters concerning job-hunting, please contact your own employment counsellor or leave a contact request via the Oma Asiointi service (In Finnish).
Please notify your employment counsellor of any changes in your job-hunting situation without delay.
