Vimpelinlaakso Sports Centre

On the athletics field, you can engage in and try different sports. There is also sports equipment you can borrow. Football players have two fields with natural grass at their disposal, and the main one is lit in the evening. In the summer, the area has four asphalted pitches and, in the winter, an ice rink made with natural ice. The sports centre’s service building has a café you can rent for conference and training events.  

The athletics field is available to the public, except when it is reserved by a sports club or an event is being organised in the area.

In the Vimpelinlaakso area, there are ice arenas, a ski slope, permanent orienteering courses and a disc golf course. Close to the sports centre there is also a sports hall for ball games, indoor tennis courts and a ski lodge whose reservations are handled by other operators.

The Vimpelinlaakso area provides varied terrain for joggers in the summer and for skiers in the winter. The fitness track is lit. There is a 4.2-kilometre ski track in the area, as well as ski tracks made by private people that range from 1 to 26 kilometres. There are signposts at the starting point showing the ski tracks and huts. The tracks are marked with colour and signposts. You can ski either in the classic or skating style. There is also a biathlon centre in the area.
