Kaukametsä facilities

Organise your meeting or event in the adaptable and versatile Kaukametsä!

The Kaukametsä Congress and Cultural Centre offers excellent framework and possibilities for organising a variety of events, from family celebrations to meetings and concerts.

A variety of meeting and seminar facilities for up to 500 people are available according to your wishes. All facilities have open wifi, full meeting facilities and professional staff.

Kaukametsä conference facilities, the Kaukavesi aquatic centre, the nearby city centre with its markets and hotels, and the surrounding nature form an environment where services complement each other.

  • Koskikatu 4A

    Rising grandstand, fixed rows of chairs 486 seats, including 83 seats in the balcony.
    Additional 20 seats, 12 wheelchair spaces, lift in the lobby.
    Wheelchair spaces can be sold as loose chairs if required.

    KAUKAMETSÄ HALL LOWER LOBBY

    In the lobby there are coat racks and restaurant Suvanto for 100-500 pers.
    Meeting and catering services as well as catering for concerts from Kajaanin Mamselli.

    KAUKAMETSÄ HALL PARQUET LOBBY (2nd floor),
    also for evening and cocktail events.
    Entrance from behind the hall “parquet left” or “parquet right”.
    Rows 1-18, seats 1-403.

    BALCONY LOBBY (top floor), also for evening and cocktail events.
    Seats in ‘balcony left’ or ‘balcony right’, number 404-488.

    KAUKAMETSÄ HALL ACTORS’ LOBBY, Koskikatu 4A
    The lobby has a small kitchen, toilet facilities, two separate dressing rooms.
    Upstairs sauna, shower and other rooms.
    This lobby is included in the rent for the Kaukametsä hall. Also available for rent as a separate space.

      • Includes lobby facilities, basic cleaning, janitor services, lighting and sound engineering services (one person).
    • Rehearsal and organisation time: 62,00 / 76,88 incl. VAT.

    • Admission charge: 10% of the ticket price

    Concert hall / seminar room
    Rising grandstand 167 seats +4 wheelchair spaces. Fixed writing desks.
    Oval shape stage: width at the back 5,86 m, front 8,65 m, depth 5,80 m.
    No seat reservation for concerts.

    Lobby restaurant Karanka, which can cater for 30-200 people. Meeting and catering services available from Kajaanin Mamselli.

    Ballroom / adaptable meeting room
    Flat floor for 30-120 pers.
    Tables and chairs in U-shape: max 30 pers.
    Tables and chairs in class format: max 80 pers.
    Chairs in grandstand format: max 120 pers.
    The room is equipped with a cannon, a screen and a laptop.

    The space is easily adaptable. Seats for up to 100 pers.
    The lobby also houses restaurant Karanka and access to the Kouta and Leihu halls.

Restaurants Karanka and Suvanto

The Karanka Restaurant is located in the lobby of the Music School and is mainly used by meeting groups. The restaurant can cater for between 30 and 100 people from a lunch catering line.

The Suvanto Restaurant, located in the Kaukametsä Hall, can cater for 100-500 people. Suvanto is also open during concert intervals.
